Delete Apps: Uninstaller App Reviews
I is Supposed to shred APPS. but al the app i tried to shred, it didnt do because of permission. It gave me message it didnt do due permission issues. However, If i threw those same apps to Trash, they wee deleted, even as not as good as the App Shredder promised, but at least Trash DID something. . Trash just asked for my password permission, and teorically, deleted the apps THIS APP SHREEEDER WAS SUPPOSED to It doesnt ask for my password permission. Why Buy it if trash asks for it and delete even badly? Disapointed.
This app does what it promisses: It help us deleting all files / settings associated with each app. We are also able to choose exactly which files we want to delete. I just don’t give 5 stars because for one of my installed apps it recognizes the wrong folders. So I just manually uncheck it. But for all the other apps (more than 30) it works perfectly!
If you know how to used it, will work pretty good to completely trash an App with all the connext files you do not know exist, best thing you do first time you open it go on the FIPLAB website and look for the explanation under App Shredder it work the same has App DELETE + it is free. Work really good
I was trying this app to remove a couple of apps to save some space. But it removed other unrelated components and configurations that I had to restore my mac from a backup. This led to a long install/configure process. This app is dangerous!

This application does its job very well
More than happy with this App. Does what it says it’s going to do. I was going to sayits more than worth the money but, since it was free, will just say it was more than worth my time to install and use it.
removing any Appss
removing unwanted adware and crap is easy with this application
It dosent work. It asks to select an application but it dosent select any application. I Looked intro their website as well no information on how it works. waste of time
Saved me 2GB in seconds
Helped find and locate unneeded apps and removed over 2gb of applications and their related files. Great free app that every Mac users needs.
This company makes good apps so I was expecting the app to include some screening criteria, like which apps are no longer compatible with my version of OS X, or which duplicate the functions of other apps I have, but all I see is that it lists my apps and gives me a chance to check off the ones I want deleted along with their related files. Since I have for years had an app that always gives me the option to leave or delete related files whenever I delete an app, I fail to see the usefulness. I could do the same thing through the Finder. Maybe I am overlooking something?
Installed asked for user folder and hit choose
the title says it all — the choose does not work so the program doesn’t work. Zero stars for non working applications….
THIS DOES NOT WORK!
Totally nothing happens after install! Shame on you Fiplab!
There’s nothing super revolutionary with this app; I have others that do the same, But I like FIPLAB, so decided to give it a try. Right a way, I knew there was an issue, as it for some reason marked by entire Application Support folder in my library as associated with a timer app I have never used on my computer. That is, this app said I could free up 32gb of space if I delete a 38mb app!!! To an unsuspecting person, this could be a massive mistake, causing loads of problems on their computer. I shared this with their support people, and they responded quickly. Hope they will resolve this issue soon.
I think this app is used only to show you advertising of other apps this company makes. I have to date deleted 2 apps out of over 10 attempts. The majority of the time I get a statement about a permission issue, use Finder to goto the app to delete it…duh…thats what your app is for. If you cant write an app to do what its suppose to, why bother…unless its a chance to slip in a bunch of advertising for your other apps???
I was prompted to download this application earlier today and I have found it is solid and fast. It does exactly what is purports to do. Nothing more.
Doesn’t Work
Whether I select the Applications folder or the User’s folder nothing within those folders is selectable.
Must have macOS app!
Y’all if you need a Mac version of revo uninstaller this app is your best friend! It looks through the Applications Folder on your Finder and scans all third party apps that you can delete even temporary files.
Deletes very little if anything
The problem with this app is that it deletes almost nothing. It seems that it needs to ask me for my password so it can enter the applications folder, but it does not. There used to be another application called AppDelete that did that, but I can’t find it now.
My Go-To Uninstaller
I recently purchased a new MacBook and followed my usual routine of evaluating my apps. Because I fear Delete Apps is orphaned, I looked over alternatives. I'm not going to name names because my app preferences reflect me as much as an individual app's pros and cons, but in the end, I downloaded Delete Apps and used it to uninstall other uninstaller apps. I'll continue to use it until it stops working.
It Doesn't Remove Apps
I went through the setups and wizards to select all of the applications I needed to be uninstalled only to be greeted with a list of files that could not be uninstalled which were the same files I selected to uninstall.
Excellent app
Easy to use
Poor results
Tried app three times with nothing being cleaned each time. Not worth my time.
Total scam
Doesn't remove.. Just scans your hard disk and sends your data off to someone.
won't remove anything in system level
does not fully delete osbolete extensions, kexts, launch items beyond USER level. so virtually useless.
Great App
Exactly as described, straight to the point very helpful and useful!
Could not remove even one single app.
Every single app I tried to delete resulted in a message; "The Following Apps Could Not Be Removed." If you can find their support page, the issue is not represented. Maybe it can work for others but was totally useless to me. Worth what I paid for I guess.
Success in Uninstalling Unwanted Apps
So far, successful in deleting Apps
Doesn't completely remove & other issues...
First, the app really only removes whatever is in the "Applications" folder, it doesn't remove caches, library documents and all the things that apps scatter about your hard drive, which makes it useless. You'd be better off just deleting directly in finder because at least that is free (this isn't). Now, it says it "can't delete apps because of a permissions issue" but it doesn't tell you how to resolve the permissions issue. I have tried granting permissions in Pref but didn't solve the issue.
Not sure what this does
So it grabs permissions to your drive, yet it can't delete any application related data... what's the point?
It does
exactly what it claims to do. QUick and simple interface
Does what it says
It's fast and simple. Removes app files and uninstalls apps. Great app.
m
simple, easy, direct,
BillM
Very helpful!
Do not remove anything!
I can't delete to a "permission" issue, delete it via Finder. And yes, I have given it permission. This app can only show you the bits and pieces that it would delete (probably want you to pay) This is less than a trial app. It never works. M1 macbook
Forget It!
Downloaded this to delete downloaded junk apps. This app was unable to delete the associated files, so it is essentially worthless. I now, in addition to manually deleting all app files from the other apps, I have to do the same for this app as well. Thanks, Fiplab Ltd!
Useless
Would give it 0 stars if possible. It cant uninstall anything you'll still manually have to go to finder and just delete the app in applications folder.
Dosse Not Remove Anything
For the last couple of years, this app fails to remove any other app. It does not have permission to remove them, so I have to go to Finder to remove _most of_ the app then try to use other apps to clean up my drive. Delete Apps appears to be junk now.
app did nothing
Chosen apps could not be removed because of a "permission issue" No app was removed
RESTART
delete apps that i don't want
Like a Charm!
Works great. Simple to use. I highly recommend.
Really Good App
I like it. This app is one of the most valuable things.
Doesn't actually delete anything
This app will scan your Applications directory and allow you to select what you'd like to remove, but when "Clean" is pressed, runs into permissions issues via macOS. The actual deletion needs to be done manually through the Finder.
EXCELLENT
WAY TO GO! THANKS
Won't Uninstall Microsoft Office Apps
I don't know whether it wants me to pay for an upgrade or not but it didn't say why it wouldn't or couldn't uninstall Microsoft office apps.
Doesn't work No help at all
App requires permission to search within Applications and User folders and even then access was denied the app. I was prompted to remove applications manually which defeats the purpose of installing this useless pience of software and means Application Support folder and other folders were entirely overlooked.
xx
Could not delete apps
Gets it done
Easy to use and gets it done
Mostly doesn'r work
When you're logged onto your computer as administrator, you shouldn't have to confirm every move you make with your administrator password. Delete App went a step further. It sinply refused to delete anything that it reckoned reaquired an administrator password, so I had to do it all by hand, thus leaving in place a huge number of files whose exisatence is hidden from me. The idea of an application delete utility is to clear unwanted clutter from your computer. I judge this app to be useless.
love this app
love this app
Doesn't find all apps
Doesn't scan for all applications and leaves remnants behind.
Should teach this app to delete itself !
This app couldn't do ANYTHING AT ALL. It couldn't even delete 1 app. I gave it full permissions to, but every app I had selected for delete had a yellow exclamation point next to it. And only allowed me to click "show in finder", which was all just a big waste of my time. As I simply went to my apps folder and command-clicked everything I wanted gone and dumped the trash. This app is last thing I need to delete Thanks for NOTHING..
Fast
Fast&fast&easy to use, love tis app *****
Simple to use but doesn't locate all installed apps
I purchased this software specifically to delete Zoom from my computer. But, Delete Apps can't find it. Also, I noticed that severalapps do dot show up as choices within Delete Apps. So, kinda worthless if it can't delete teh apps you want to delete.
Complete Waste of Time
Will not delete apps. It only tries to sell more software. It won’t perform any other function. How do I delete it? What a waste of time and effort. The screen shown in App Store never appears.
Doesn't Remove
I downloaded several Trend Micro Apps including Cleaner One, Antivirus and Unarchiver along with another App Cleaner Alpha...all well rated Apps in App Store and without my personal key prerequisite "Get" without "In App Purchase Required" otherwise might as well pay. Well...they all had use restrictions and limits requiring premium (pay) upgrades to unlock to get utility. So I needed to uninstall them all...but after download "Delete Apps" ran and reported could not uninstall any of the apps from system with dialog box to finish manually in Finder. Good grief, what a waste of download even if free as I could always do that...its the crap left in obscure bits that I need to have an app for!!
Mostly said it could not do it
WAY too many said for no clear eason that it just couldn't delete those....
This app remover is the absolute TRUTH!!!!!!!
It's free too!!! There are so many that charge, but this one is free and it works amazing! I downloaded an adobe update and it added a ton of additional files to my computer that I did not want and did not need. This app remover removed them and freed up space on my computer. Thank you!
Doesn't Work
It doesn't do anything and just shows that its attempting to load something without every completing... Like the old spinning beachball. I wish that App Delete still released updates. App Delete simpky did its job and Delete Apps doesn't seem to work at all. Complete garbage. Fix this app so that it actually works and I'll change my review. Until then, I hope that nobody else wastes their time with this trash.
No preferences area
Need to reset drive and folder but don't see any way to do that after the initial setting which appears the first time app is used.
Didn't work
It didn't work! I still had to move my apps to the trash manually.
works
It does what I need it to do.
Doesn't work
Every time I tried to use this (six different apps) I got the message that it couldn't be done because I don't have the permissions. I am the only user of this computer, so if I don't have them, who does? I went to "get info" and under permissions undid the lock and made sure that "read and write" permissions were there for me, system and wheel, whatever that is. But, it made no difference, so I gave up.
Uh... No.
The very first screen I was presented with was a list of other apps made by this developer, including another app uninstaller. Sneaky tactic. I was still curious to see how well it performed. I tested this app against AppCleaner, which is completey free. Delete Apps found 2 files: the App it self, and a single library file. AppCleaner found 10 files. Delete Apps is clearly sandbagging, making room for its bigger brother to come in and save the day. If you want to uninstall apps, look elsewhere. This isn't your guy.
Terrible Sell Off
U downloaded and then it's spamming you with pop-ups to download every single app included and pay for it.
Doesn't work for me.
Scans aps fine, I check the ones I want to clear out and it gives me a list of folders to go manually delete. Basically it just added a coupl of steps and did nothing helpful.
